Meet Pastor Nathan

About Pastor Nathan

Family: My beautiful wife is Lenzie Cobb. Together, we have two wonderful boys; Coda and Kai. Lenzie and I married in October of 2019 and have been at Legacy Church since February of the same year.

Ministry Role: I have been the Admin at Legacy, the Young Adults Leader, and now serve as the Connections Pastor. I often tell people my job can be summed up in a simple phrase: “Connecting you to people and places that you fit best.” I mainly oversee our Serve Teams & Volunteers, Assimilation, Membership, and Connect Groups (small groups).

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?: Medium rare NY Strip & Lobster Tail, a side of grilled Asparagus, mashed potatoes, and a caesar salad.

What's a Bible verse that has really impacted your life?: To pick one verse is impossible, but to list the most impactful areas of scripture in my life, I'd say John 17, James 1, Psalm 57, 1 Corinthians 15:55, John 1, Acts 1, Hosea 11 and Matthew 28.

How do you like to spend your free time?: Spending time with my wife and children, watching football, drinking great coffee, and enjoying the outdoors.

What's something most people don't know about you?: I have been skydiving. Yes, it is terrifying. Yes, I’d do it again. Yes, if I tried, my wife would kill me if the jump didn’t.

If you could have dinner with any Bible character (besides Jesus), who would it be and why?: Moses. I would love to learn from his experiences. He saw the Lord face to face, overcame incredibly painful moments roadblocks in his life, led vast amounts of people, was dedicated to prayer, and saw the price of disobeying God personally, and theough the disobedience of others. His life was saturated in moments where faith or fear were his only options, and more often than not, he chose faith.

What's a worship song that always moves you?: A worship song that always moves me is "What a Beautiful Name". It's a timeless classic with lyrics that edify the Lord's holiness, strength, and power over death.

If you weren't in ministry, what do you think you'd be doing?: If I wasn't in ministry, I think I'd still be ministering to people wherever the Lord took me. I've always had a desire to introduce people to the One who saved my life and renewed my heart. I could see myself in some kind of hospitality management, serving people at resorts, destinations, or events. I love to make people happy.

Coffee or tea-and how do you take it?: Morning, noon, night; I'm a coffee fanatic. Although I still drink teas from time to time. I love a good esspresso in the form of lattes, flat whites, cappuccinos, and other esspresso based drinks. Onyx Coffee in NWA is my all-time favorite roastery and supplier.

What's one thing you hope people experience when they visit our church?: Whether someone is a non believer or a veteran in the faith, I want everyone who visits Legacy to have an encounter with Jesus that's impossible to forget. Every time someone drives away from Legacy Church, I want them to feel inspired, challenged, and moved so incredibly that they can't leave the same way they arrived.
